A surprise BABY
I remember the day very well, I had just entered the center and a couple was standing in the hallway. Both the couple and the volunteer had looks of fear on their faces. I quickly put my things down and asked how I could help. I was told that the woman had a positive pregnancy test and she didn’t think she could afford another baby. We sat down and began to discuss the options. They were married but had a really long list of reasons to support abortion. They told me of two young sons they loved dearly and how they were the joy in their lives. But they just couldn’t see how another child could fit into their tight budget. I was praying as I was talking but I couldn’t get through to them. I felt desperate to make them see, then during a pause God whispered in my ear, ask them if they would kill one of their boys to keep this child. The father got angry and said how ridicules. The mother teared up and said to her husband if we would not kill one of the boys how can we think of killing this child. The truth was out and they both realized that it was a child she was carrying and deserved a chance to live. I still was unsure that they might not reconsider abortion, but left it in God’s hands. Just a few days ago Both mother and baby came into the center to show us the joy of a beautiful daughter. Thanks for standing with us in gifts and prayers. Not only was the life of the mother changed but an entire family saw the unconditional love that God has for them thought this gift of a baby girl.

Thank you
It is so overwhelming to look at the numbers and see how many lives God has allowed us to have at least a little part in. So many families have been served with the unconditional love of Christ, material items and encouragement. We may never see how these acts of kindness have truly impacted our client's lives, but we can rest in the fact that we have been obedient to the Lord and be assured that He will use our example in their lives. Each one who prays, gives and volunteers has made it possible. Thank you for standing in the gap with us as we continue reaching out to the most vulnerable among us.

January 2006 Newsletter
At fourteen years old I discovered I was pregnant. At the time of my pregnancy, my mother was still trying to get her life on track after divorcing my father and we were really struggling to make ends meet. When my mother found out I was pregnant, she began talking to the doctor about arranging an abortion. I didn’t even know what “abortion” meant. My doctor took me into his office and explained how an abortion was performed. The truth he revealed terrified me. But he also explained my other options: parenting the child or placing the baby for adoption. As it turns out, my doctor was a good Christian man who intervened in my life with the truth of Gods unconditional love for me and the consequences of my actions when no one else in my life at that time, would have. He was my Shepherd.
In 1984 I gave birth to a baby girl and I placed her for adoption. For the first 17 years following her birth I lived my life with hope instead of guilt; hope that she had all the things I could not have given her and hope that she was happy and healthy. (Not guilt over taking the life of a precious, unborn baby.)
Five years ago my daughter found me. It was a reunion I had waited 17 years for. God brought us back together and fully revealed the details of my decision, I believe, so I could tell my story and show other young girls faced with an unwanted pregnancy the important alternative of adoption. My daughter is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. She is currently seeking a degree in psychology so she can counsel adopted children. And through my work at CrossWay I am able to share my personal testimony and experience as a birthmother. My life has come full circle. I praise God for the people He placed in my path through that confusing time in my life. I praise God I am able to be a part of the ministry at CrossWay! If not for other Believers revealing God’s Truth and Love to me, my life would be drastically different. And the life of my beautiful daughter would have been over before she was ever given the chance to be born.
I love you all!

Changed Life
As she looked down at her brand new little boy her eyes filled with tears. “I almost didn’t give him a chance to live but now I am beginning to see God has a plan for me and it includes a precious baby that I didn’t intend on having”. Her story is the reason we keep serving at the pregnancy center. She was alone and afraid, the father wanted no part of this child’s life. Abortion seemed to be the best answer; that is until she came to the center. She began to realize that it was a life she was carrying and she had the power to sentence her baby to death. Even though each day was a struggle she held true to her promise to carry this baby. Now months later she is joyous and content and ever so grateful she chose life. God continues to draw her nearer and she is searching to find her faith in Him. Please pray for this client and the many others that are like her. In September the center received 4 calls from clients desiring abortion, 2 of them will deliver babies in late April.
Thank you Lord for allowing us to share truth and love with your creation!
